Gordon Ramsay The London West Hollywood

“Gordon Ramsay at The London” opened tonight as the new restaurant by Gordon Ramsay, star of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares”, inside the new The London West Hollywood hotel. The London is where that trashy The Bel-Age hotel use to be off of the Sunset Strip, behind Johnny Depp’s Viper Room.

Why West Hollywood for Ramsay?
“It’s less aggressive than New York,” he tells AP. “Vegas? I don’t want to play my card in Las Vegas. It’s materialistic. Here, it’s proper. I’m very happy to be here. Everything is in abundance in California.”
The restaurant was two years, yes TWO years, in the making.
Ramsay, a former professional soccer player himself, said he and Beckham “go back a long way. It’s nice having him here. He’s going to be cooking in (the) kitchen tomorrow night.”
And get this?
The winner of the fourth season of “Hell’s Kitchen” will get a job as as senior sous-chef at in the restaurant with $250,000 salary.
The show’s finale is July 8.
