Clay Aiken on Ruben Studdard Wedding

LALATE fav celebrity Clay Aiken is sending congratulations to his fellow American Idol contestant, Ruben Studdard, who got married this Saturday. LALATE was the first celebrity news site to break details of the Studdard wedding. Now Aiken is sending big congrats to Studdard.

“Ruben is one of the most wonderful guys I have ever known. He has such a great heart. Zuri is one lucky lady. I’m thrilled for both of them as they start this great chapter in their lives” says Aiken.

Studdard married Surata Zuri McCants, a flight attendant, in Alabama Saturday. The two met at a CD signing for Studdard in Atlanta back in October 2006.

Congrats again to Ruben and Zuri!

Jonas Brothers Vanity Fair

PHOTOS: The Jonas Brothers and Gossip Girl appear in the new Vanity Fair. LALATE is not a fan of Vanity Fair (guess, Miley Cyrus would agree with us) after that Gina Gershon Bill Clinton article.

The Vanity Fair article attempts to have the magazine tell us who the new “it” generation is in Hollywood. Needless to say, LALATE doesn’t agree with this list. In fact, you probably have no clue who many of these names are. Yes, they have great acting roles, but that doesn’t mean anything.

Among the names covered are Jessica Szohr, Penn Badgley, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, Taylor Momsen, Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts, Blake Lively & Kristen Stewart.

It’s not clear why Gossip Girl gets so many magazine shoots. The show is not a ratings winner. But for a show that lacks in ratings, it definitely receives a huge internet chatter on a daily basis.

Derek Jeter Gillette

Was baseball great Derek Jeter CUT today?! Nope, he was using a Gillette!

Gillette today announced Jeter as it’s new Gillette Champions ambassador. Jeter will join Gillette for a multi medium campaign that already includes other celebrities like Tiger Woods, Roger Federer and Thierry Henry.

The campaign is the “The Best a Man Can Get.”

“Being a part of the Gillette Champions program is a great honor for me,” said Jeter. “In baseball, having confidence is essential, and a critical element of confidence is looking and feeling my best.”

“The Gillette name is synonymous with being the best. High School Musical Track Listing

NEW MUSIC! Hitting the net today is the High School Musical 3 Track listing. Last week, LALATE broke that the Soundtrack for High School Musical 3 is currently available for pre order.

Now today, news of the track listing.

In HSM3, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) are now seniors and confronted with the difficulty of being split up after graduation. The rest of the Wildcats, including Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) and Chad Danforth (Corbin Bleu) stage a final musical to celebrate their last year in High School.

Meantime, any day ABC’s summer reality show, High School Musical: Get in the Picture, will air. The winner will get a chance to star in a music video that is shown that will play over the credits in HSM3.

Pamela Anderson says she was kidding about those comments over the weekend about Jessica Simpson’s meat eating shirt. Pammy’s comments stem from Jessica Simpson wearing recently a t-shirt that read “Real Girls Eat Meat”.

Only problem, Pamela Anderson is one of PETA’s biggest supporters. But reportedly when an Australian radio show asked Anderson about the shirt, Anderson now explains she hadn’t seen it and thought the shirt was not about animal meat but instead …. um, yeah.Anderson called Simpson on the radio show a “b — ch” and a “wh - - e”.

Anderson then explained that she thought Simpson “was not referring to actual, you know, cows and chickens. I think she was referring to men.”

“Playground” is Pharrell’s new song for Lindsay Lohan. Playground drops on Lohan’s third studio album, Spirit in the Dark, that gets released November. Expect Playground to hit radio stations tentatively September this year (and of course online before that). Previously, Hard Candy by Madonna had 7 of its 12 tracks by Pharrell.
