LALATE first broke months ago that singer Jessica Simpson’s next album will be country. Simpson is from Texas and said her album will draw upon some of her favorite country singers like Patsy Cline.

Says dad Joe Simpson: “Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing,” he said, “and country music still believes in that.”

Meantime, with new music comes new scandal. New reports this morning are claiming that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are back on … while Romo is telling dad Joe Simpson to “back off”.

The Chicago Sun Times claims that Romo is telling dad Simpson to “back off” as Romo gives it one more try.

Do you believe that? If you think about it, the whole Joe Simpson v. Tony Romo alleged bickering makes great conflict, and hence great press, for Jessica Simpson ….

… exactly at the time her new music is starting to come out.
