Now you can rename that story “LAWSUIT!”

Fellow Columbian Masha Markova is not going to let the fur, or mink, be pulled over her eyes.

Today the Columbia University student filed suit in New York against Lindsay Lohan over that stunning blonde mink coat owned by Markova, a prized gift from her relative. Maria “Masha” Markova claims in the suit that Lohan stole the $12,000 golden sheared mink coat at Chelsea nightclub 1 Oak on Jan. 26, 2008.

LALATE told you that ironically that night was reportedly a birthday party for Starvos Niarchos.

Yes, THAT Starvos, the reported ex boyfriend of Lohan tabloid created enemy Paris Hilton.

Markova’s lawyer Merrill Cohen says Lohan was sitting next to Masha. After demands were put to Lohan, the coat appeared back at the club from an unknown source and no response from Lohan, no appology from Lohan.

Lohan’s lawyer Blair Berk would not comment on the case.

Since the story first broke, at least one other woman has come forward and said Lohan stole clothes from here too.
