When LALATE first saw it above, our first reaction is “that looks familiar”.

Some wbesites are tonight reporting that the logo is in fact the first logo of the coffee chain back in the 1970s. (No confirmation.)

You know, back in the 1970s, those mermaids were a bit more flirty than they are now.

But then there’s another problem. The religious group might be good with religion but bad with biology. Mermaids don’t have legs!

The group is asking people to boycott the chain. Sounds like a bunch of grumpy people who didn’t have their morning coffee.

(Oh, and how about that mermaid’s rack? If only the muffins were actually that big.)
