Mariah stars in “Tennessee”, a drama opening next week at the Tribeca Film Festival. It’s about two brothers, one ill, on a road trip to meet dad, who run into Mariah, playing a struggling singer, on the way who joins them.

The part is “Krystal” and initial reviews are out.

Are they good or bad?

For Mariah the reviews seem to be good…. even though the film itself is a different story.

Says Fox: ” “Tennessee” is full of clichés, but Mariah provides the least of them. She hangs in there even when the drama is more contrived than real. And she does sing, just a little bit, but that’s what almost undoes the film. Mariah Carey cannot play a wannabe. She opens her mouth and The Voice comes out.”
