The biggest news story, sadly, tonight remains the words of Barack Obama’s pastor at Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who retired last month.

Now ABC has released more of her sermon statements.

In 2003, “The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three strikes law and then wants us to sing ‘God bless America,’ No, no, no, not ‘God bless America,’ God damn America — that’s in the Bible, you’re killing innocent people, God damn America for treating us citizens as less than human.”

After 9/11, Wright said, “We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagaski and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye…America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”

Says ABC: “When asked about these kinds of comments in the past, Obama spokesman Bill Burton has said that “Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they’re offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church.” “
