As you know, every day LALATE relays you information about recent celebrity home sales often broken exclusively by some of the best real estate websites online that we credit and luv. But now, you may have to turn to LALATE just a bit more, unfortunately.
In 1984, Ruth Ryon started what has been my favorite column in the Los Angeles Times, “Hot Properties”, THE celebrity real estate column. I read it way before there ever was an LALATE NEWS, before we started covering celebrity homes sales for you too. In fact, I’ve been reading her column since a kid, and loved it every moment.Now her column could tragically be ending, leaving a huge vacuum in print that hopefully we can all pick up for you online.
The Los Angeles Observed website has posted “an unnofficial list” of Los Angeles Times employees who have applied for buyouts, and sadly, on there is Ruth Ryon, claims the Observed.
Awful!
In fact, there is SO much potentially being eliminated from the LA Times, not just a celebrity real estate column, you are going to be shocked.
“Two Sunday mainstays — Then and Now by Cecilia Rasmussen and Hot Properties by Ruth Ryon — appear over since both writers are on the list” says the Observed.
