Georgia Frontiere (November 21, 1927 - January 18, 2008) has passed. She was the co-owner and chairwoman of the St. Louis Rams.

In 1957, Frontiere, as a dancer was reportedly introduced to Carroll Rosenbloom, NFL owner and millionaire uniforms manufacturer, by Joseph P. Kennedy, father of future president John Kennedy.

Frontiere then inherited ownership of the team, then in Anaheim, California, in 1979, subsequent to the death of her husband. Rosenbloom was a big ocean swimmer but reportedly died while swimming. The mysterious cause of death was the subject of the PBS series ‘Frontline’ that investigated the story and reported mafia involvement.
