Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman: Players should “Lynch Tiger Woods in a Back Alley”

According to her bio, anchor Kelly Tilghman finds Monty Python’s “Holy Grail” “HILARIOUS!” Well there is nothing hilarious about her “lynch Tiger Woods” comment she made on air last Friday for the Golf Channel.
Kelly Tilghman is “the first, full-time female play-by-play commentator in the history of the PGA TOUR” currently with the Golf Channel.
Maybe she should work for the History Channel and understand how inappropriate that comment is in the face of American history!
What an IDIOT!
During a Friday’s telecast of the PGA Tour’s opening event, she said that today’s young players should “lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley.”
Get your face out of the rough on the fairway and read some history, Kelly!
In a statement issued Monday, Tilghman said: “On Friday during our golf broadcast, Nick Faldo and I were discussing Tiger’s dominance in the golf world and I used some poorly chosen words. I have known Tiger for 12 years and I have apologized directly to him. I also apologize to our viewers who may have been offended by my comments.”
The Golf Channel said the following. “We regret the unfortunate choice of words Kelly used during the broadcast and apologize to anyone who was offended by her remarks”. “We take this matter very seriously. She has apologized privately to Tiger and publicly on the air.”
That’s a pretty bland response, Golf (needing History) Channel.
