Jamie-Lynn isn’t just a slut: she’s a STUPID slut.
See, I’m 43. They’ve had birth control pills for longer than I’ve been alive. A few weeks ago, I learned that condoms date back centuries.
And yet Jamie-Lynn (and in fact, a fair percentage of Western women) can’t find the brains to avail themselves of modern technology. They can’t remember to take the pill, and apparently in the heat of the moment, they can’t be counted on to remember to take five seconds to put a condom on the guy.
You can be in favor of or against abortion, but frankly it should never reach that stage. Only the most devout Catholics don’t use birth control: I was married to a Catholic woman for 13 years, and trust me, she and all her Catholic friends used birth control.
Any girl who asks can get the pill very inexpensively. Anyone who walks into a drugstore can walk out with a box of condoms for almost nothing.
To not have the brains to be able to do either one of these things is just plain STUPID.
Forget being yet another skanky member of an incredibly skanky family. Jamie-Lynn spears is just plain STUPID.
Maybe the Muslims are right, and women would be better off as men’s property. They certainly couldn’t be worse off than when they’re left to make their own decisions.

I read that she reportedly didn’t want to use birth control because it would make her fat. But if she doesn’t think she will gain weight during pregnancy, she has another thing coming. Either you gain 5 lbs being on the pill, or you gain MUCH more than that growing a baby! Where’s the issue here? I just think that this is a snapshot of the growing problem of premarital sex and teen pregnancy out there! And, I think it’s a shame that kids like her are supposed ‘role models’ for everyone who watches their shows. I could get in to the debate and problems of having TV stars as role models, but I won’t get in to that. The fact is that there are probably millions of little girls who aspire to be like Jamie Lynn and now she’s knocked up at 16 years old, and need I mention, unmarried. I’m no conservative, but this is absurd. Since when do we put pregnant teens on a pedestal and tell them their situation is okay?

I think she was very mature about waiting to tell people about her baby. She waited until she had made her decsion to keep her baby. no, it wasn’t responsible !! but she didn’t go freakin’ out not knowing what to do and asking people what she should do with that baby. I am a teen mom myself. Having a child at so young is something that happens. People look at it now and say oh my gosh yes the aren’t married but look back at our grandparents or even so their parents. People were married and starting families at 14 and 15. Life expectancy was lower yes but things happen. It really hasn’t changed. As long as her parents are there and she actually has support she can be an excellent mother. My daughter is 4 now and she is a bright and intelligent young child. She made a great choice and I hope it pays off for her as it did me!

Long time boyfriend? She is 16! What can a 16 year old girl possibly know about real long term relationships. And I highly doubt that she fully capable of handling that responsibility. And so what if there are millions of other pregnant teens? They ALL made the SAME stupid choice. Just because there are a lot of them, does not mean that it is OK. She has thrown so much of her life away. She didn’t even give herself a chance to grow up and live life. Instead of being a teen, she now must face reality and grow up VERY quickly. I just think that it is a shame there are so many married, mature couples that are ready and willing to accept the responsibility of children, yet struggle to become pregnant. I for one feel that her having a baby at this age is too young but things happen. Around my way, teen pregnacies are the norm. Girls can be as young as 11 having babies which is not right. Still you really can’t judge her since its her life and blame her mother too. I come from a very strict nigerian family who taught us strong morals. My sister, who was a rebel, is just 17 just with a baby girl that we all love so much. It wasn’t easy since we were all disappointed with her. If she was famous, this ordeal would have so much stressful since every one always want to be critic like their own lives are perfect. No child should be NEVER BE A MISTAKE!!! This is a gift from god, my niece will never feel like she wasn’t wanted. I wish Jaime support and love for this hard and stressful time since being pregnant is no joke

Okay, let’s all take a step back for just a minute. How many 16 year olds are running around pregnant right now? dude all you guys that are trashing her just needs to shut the f**k up! so what shes a teen and shes preggo? if it was ur daughter or son yea ud be mad but u would eventually accept it right?! im 4 months pregnant and im 17! and guess what? i used condoms AND birth control! just because she got prego doesnt mean she didnt use a condom! a condom only is 98% effictive you idiots! at least shes taking responsibilitly for it instead of doing drugs etc. so all of you guys need to get over urselves and let her be! if you dont have anything nice to say, DONT SAY IT AT ALL! you old dumbf***s

honestly, for all of you people saying that it isn’t her fault, but her sisters, how is that true!? Sure her sister is not the best role model, but Jamie Lynn should have a mind of her own. It’s her own bad decision to get pregnant at 16. I agree that she should’ve used protection, not just for the sake of not getting pregnant, but for not getting and STD, for God’s sake. wow…it’s so sad to see so many people defending her. seems to me a lot of her supporters are teenage moms themselves who need a celebrity like ms. spears here to make them feel good about having made the same mistake. and whoever said that “no baby is a mistake” i disagree. if you didn’t plan it, weren’t trying to get pregnant, weren’t even thinking about it, and in some cases, trying to prevent it from happening by using birth control or condoms or both, (someone shared that she was using both and still got pregnant) then it’s a mistake. come on, how many girls in the right mind WANT to be pregnant at 14, 15, 16, even 18? you F’ed up and you know it!

I dont think its a mistake even if you didnt plan it. Its just an early blessing and no im not a teen mom. I am however 17 years old, living with my long term boyfriend of 3 years and we’ve been living together over a year. If I got pregnant we would keep it and yes we do plan on having a baby soon in the next 3 years, we are financialy secure so i dont see the problem. Jamie has millions and can afford it, tons of adults have kids are on welfare and are addicts, how come jamie who chose not to abort is getting so much attention?

okay. im 15. im pregnant..and yes i know theres all these methods of birth control BUT! whats the difference in when grown-ups sometimes accidently get pregant and when teenagers do it? i understand we shouldnt be havin sex..but hey shit happens…i dont think shes a slut or anything i just think she made a mistake…and there isnt a person on here that can say they havent made a huge mistake at one time or another!

well I think it was a big stupid mistake for her to get pregnant at 16! especially being on a childrens program on nickelodeon i know a lot of children who really looked up to her and now the kids don’t want to watch the show anymore and don’t like her somes parents aren’t even letting their children watch that show anymore.. she should of being on birth control she was stupid! also she shouldn’t be showing herself and the baby off in that ok magazine it gives a lot of teens a bad impression and want to become pregnant just like her a lot of my friends are like that and now want to have kids it’s crazy.. and also anouncing she was pregnant to ok magazine she should of kept that quiet and not bother anouncing it to the press it almost looks that she planned this whole thing I myself used to look up to her but not anymore.
