KITT to Michael: ”Knight Rider 3000 is ready to roll!”

lalate can report that Michael Hasselhoff is returning with KITT to television in a movie of the week version of Knight Rider. Amid delays in a feature film version of Knight Rider, NBC has greenlighted a movie of the week.

This time, KITT will not be nagging “Michael, Michael” but perhaps “Justin, Justin” with Justin Bruening as Michael Knight’s son taking the wheel.

Of course, the big secret is not the Hoff but the car. Rumor has it the car will be called Knight Industries Three Thousand; but what brand of car is still yet to be announced.

Hasselhoff is currently preparing for Tales from the Hoff, and continuing in America’s Got Talent.

Reportedly in 2006 Orlando Bloom turned down the offer to play the Hoff’s son in a feature film role. “I was approached by David in Los Angeles. He’d heard I was a big fan of the old show and said, ‘We’re doing a movie version and I’d love you to play my son in it.’ “I replied, ‘Er, well, that sounds great but you’d need to speak to my manager about it.’ “I used to watch Knight Rider when I was eight but I didn’t like it more than any other series. My favourites were THE FALL GUY and THE A-TEAM.”
