Joe Torre Dodgers Manager

Joe Torre is the new manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers! Moments ago it was announced that the Brooklyn raised boy that hated the Dodgers as a kid now is their manager!
Torre took the job two week after saying goodbye to the New York Yankees.
Torre is the winningest manager in postseason history. His contract isthree-year, $13 million contract. As a kid, his team was the Giants.
“As a kid growing up, you didn’t like them,” Torre said on WFAN radio today. “As a player, to me the Dodgers were the Yankees of the National League because … you either loved them or you hated them.”
“I’m so happy for him. I think his record speaks for itself,” said Tommy Lasorda “I think what he accomplished with the Yankees, he should have been able to control his destiny.”
Last year, Torre earned $7.5 million last season, the most of any manager.
“I think he’s going to do a good job in the clubhouse because he’s got great leadership abilities,” Lasorda said. “He knows how to handle a ballclub.”
“There’s definitely a locker waiting for him in Cooperstown, that’s for sure,” Lasorda said. “I’ve known him for close to 30 years and we’ve been good friends.”
