Pop star moms Lynne Spears (Britney’s mom) and Dina Lohan (Lindsay’s mom) announced their own deals this week.

Christian publisher Thomas Nelson has confirmed Thursday afternoon that it is pushing Spear’s book: “Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World”, will hit stores on Mother’s Day 2008.

“We’ve signed her to a deal,” a spokesman for Thomas Nelson reports. “It’s a parenting book that’s going to have faith elements to it. I don’t think it’s totally been written yet.”

Meantime Dina is doing TV. (Is it us, or is Dina very hot, in an annoying way.)

“There are so many misconceptions about me and my family. I’m setting the record straight,” Dina tells People.

Oh, yes, the misconceptions pitch. Tell us more Dina!

“Lindsay is a family member and will lend a helping hand if [little sister] Ali asks her, when she’s in the recording studio,” she shares.

“It’s about empowering women to be successful single mothers,” she pontificates. “About being in the limelight without compromising motherhood. It’s about what I do, how you can be successful, and be a single mom and fulfilling your kids’ dreams. Working is my sole source of income. It won’t just be following my family around like other shows. It’ll show me cultivating careers, going to soccer practice. I’m a big supporter of domestic violence charities, so they’ll show that. Then they’ll show [”my son”] Cody at soccer practice. Ali going to school and in the studio. It’ll encompass everything. You’ll see me having five business meetings in the city.”

Yawn.

How many times will Lindsay appear in a swimsuit on the beach? Then, I’ll tune in.

“We want it just to be real,” she concludes. “It’s okay if it’s not as crazy as the tabloids make it.”

Okay to you. But it will cancelled if it’s as boring as you describe. Show is set to aire on E!
