Halo 3 Biggest Vidgame of All Time?! Bungie Stories changing with Microsoft?

Posted on October 5th, 2007 in Celebrities, Entertainment by lalate

“Halo 3″ has now reportedly grossed more than $300 million.

It appears the vid some 5 million units its first week. It is yet to be seen if Halo 3 will jump to become the bestselling console vidgames of recent times, currently led by “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” at more than 13 million units. Yet, Microsoft claims that “Halo 3″ is already the fastest-selling vidgame ever.

But meantime, the company that developed Halo 3 is changing its relationship with Microsoft, not leaving, just changing. In a shocking press release this week, Bungie Studios said the following:

“Bungie Studios, the developers of the Halo franchise, will embark on a path to become an independent company. Microsoft will retain an equity interest in Bungie at the same time continuing its long standing publishing agreement between Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie for the Microsoft owned “Halo” intellectual property as well as other future properties developed by Bungie.”
