Village People Sues YouTube over YMCA Hilter Paradoy
Hitler was in the Village People? That visual is all wrong. Owners of the Village People’s copyrights are going after YouTube (GOOD!) for repeated failure to monitor postings of a vid parody of the cult classic “YMCA” put to Nazi footage. It’s sickening and it’s disgusting especially since the team that wrote their songs are Jews.
The original version cerca 1970s of “YMCA” appears above.
YouTube’s response:
“Most content owners understand that we respect copyrights,” said Zahavah Levine, YouTube’s chief counsel in an e-mail. “We work every day to help them manage their content, and we are developing state-of-the-art tools to let them do that even better.”
